The Senior Peer Program offers several support groups and classes for both men and women that provide a safe non-judgmental atmosphere where members can share their feelings and coping strategies with those going through similar experiences.The goals of these confidential, peer-facilitated support groups are: promote fellowship and lessen the feeling of isolation; give support and encouragement to others; work through negative emotions; strengthen self-esteem; and educate, inform, exchange ideas and resources.Support groups are facilitated by and consisting of peers, persons age 60 and beyond and are a free and confidential service of the Senior Peer Program.

Support Groups in Prescott

W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom)
Meets weekly on Wednesdays – 10:00 am to 11:30 am

Provides understanding, problem-solving & emotional support in developing healthy connections with others and working through aging issues

Blind/Low Vision Support Group
Meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month – 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm


For those experiencing eye disorders and loss of vision who rarely get the opportunity to be “seen” and supported around the trauma of losing their sight

Blind/Low Vision Caregivers Support Group

Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

This support group is open to anyone who is a senior with a loved one who is blind or has impaired vision. In the group we discuss concerns, challenges, and feelings with others and learn new ways to cope and adapt.

Senior Men’s Group
Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month – 10:30 am to 12:00 pm

Emotional support through group dynamics for older adults

Singing in the Key of Life

Meets weekly on Wednesdays — 10:00 am to 11:30 am

A time to share the music of your generation,  take a trip down Memory Lane, and to sing with abandon.  No special talent required, just a love of music.

Mindfulness Class Next class date: TBD
